## Resource

Amy Hardcastle, England’s all-time leading try scorer in women’s rugby league, has announced her international retirement just one month before the Rugby League World Cup begins — but she’s not hanging up her boots entirely, as she’ll continue playing club rugby. With 30 tries in 29 caps since her 2009 debut and a spot in the NRL’s Women’s Team of the Decade, Hardcastle leaves behind a legacy as one of the sport’s most impactful players. Her coach called her a generational talent and ambassador for the game, while she thanked her team and fans, calling national representation her highest honor. She’s proud of the sport’s progress and excited to cheer on England at the World Cup starting October 17th against Wales.
