## Resource

U.S. envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff made a high-stakes diplomatic push, meeting Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in Kyiv and Russian President Putin in Moscow in a bid to revive peace talks amid the war’s fourth year. Zelenskyy called the U.S. discussions “very substantive,” stressing urgent needs for air defense and energy support as winter looms — and warning that time is running out before the 2028 U.S. election cycle. While both sides acknowledged progress, core issues like Donbas remain unresolved, with Russia demanding Ukrainian withdrawal from key towns — a demand Kyiv rejects. The U.S. team, joined by national security advisors from Britain, France, and Germany, signaled a coordinated international effort to secure Ukraine’s future — including post-war prosperity and long-term security guarantees — as aerial bombardments intensify and the clock ticks toward a potential breakthrough or deeper crisis.
