## Resource

A Lincoln man is accused of orchestrating a brazen identity theft scheme, stealing U.S. citizens’ identities to enroll them in online colleges and cash their financial aid checks—amounting to over $20,000—with help from family in Kenya. Police uncovered forged checks, acceptance letters, and identical handwriting on all endorsements, leading to felony charges of second-degree forgery. Victims were unaware they were enrolled or that checks were being cashed in their names. Mogambi’s arraignment is set for Friday, exposing a disturbing pattern of fraud with deep personal and financial consequences.
