## Resource

A federal judge in Boston has extended a court block on a Trump-backed USPS rule that would have imposed strict new mail-in voting requirements—like mandatory voter lists and unique barcodes—risking ballot rejection. Voting rights groups and Democratic states argue the rule is unconstitutional and could suppress turnout, while the administration insists it’s a “modest” operational tweak states still control. With some states already mailing ballots and the Postal Service’s online portal not yet active, the timing is critical—and a whistleblower warns of potential chaos. The administration now seeks Supreme Court intervention to override the injunction, deepening the legal battle over election access and integrity.
