## Resource

Witherley’s long-standing parish council chaos is finally over—officially dissolved and replaced with two new, smaller councils for Witherley & Atterton, and Fenny Drayton, after a community vote overwhelmingly favored the split. The old council, plagued by legal battles, internal conflict, and insufficient membership, was deemed dysfunctional, prompting borough officials to step in and ultimately dissolve it. Residents’ input led to this fresh start, with leaders praising the public’s role in shaping local governance and hoping the new setup will deliver smoother, more effective community representation.
