## Resource

Leicester City’s Russell Martin is baffled by the personal nature of the criticism he’s facing after a brutal start to the season, including a four-goal drubbing by Oxford United that left them in 18th — their worst-ever League One position. Despite his possession-based style, which worked at Rangers and still drives him, Martin feels blindsided by media and fan backlash. He admits pressure weighs on those close to him, but insists he’s not rattled — and that the squad, led by captain Harry Souttar and young defender Jayden Joseph, stands firmly behind him. While some former players have called performances “sackable,” Martin remains committed to his philosophy, believing patience will yield results. He’s learning, adapting, and convinced his system will eventually deliver brilliance — even if it doesn’t win fans over overnight.
