## Resource

A 70-year-old man, Simon Granger, was caught with 944 child abuse images—including photos of infants as young as two months old—and dark web tools to hide his tracks. His lawyer blamed his wife’s death for his actions, but the judge called it a weak excuse, stressing that younger victims are now being targeted and that grief doesn’t justify this. Granger avoided jail with a suspended 12-month sentence, 18 months probation, 70 hours of community service, and a 10-year sexual harm prevention order restricting his internet use—directly telling him he’s sexually attracted to children and must confront it.
