## Resource

Got a TV? You might not need a license—unless you’re watching live TV or streaming live broadcasts. Gaming, DVDs, and on-demand shows like Netflix or YouTube (non-live) are fine. But catch up on live shows? That’s a license requirement. Costs? £180 for color, £65 for black and white—both up recently. No license? Up to £1,000 fine (or £2,000 in places like Guernsey) plus legal fees. Know your usage: if you’re not watching live, you’re probably safe.
