## Resource

Government plans to redraw local council boundaries in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland—aiming to merge areas into a larger city by 2028—are now on pause after new legal advice triggered a review across 15 regions. Council leaders like Ben Taylor of Blaby District are demanding reimbursement for over $200K spent on the reorganisation, calling the delay “a killer of local government.” Meanwhile, rural residents and opponents of the expansion welcome the pause, arguing the changes didn’t reflect local needs. While not canceled, the future remains uncertain as officials assess next steps. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
