## Resource

A mom in Leicester is fighting for her severely disabled son’s right to swim after the only ceiling track hoist in Leicestershire—critical for his mobility—has broken down repeatedly, leaving him stranded out of the pool since May. With no replacement parts available and months-long repair delays, she’s desperate, highlighting how inaccessible public facilities are becoming for those with complex disabilities. While the council admits the issue and says they’re waiting on discontinued parts, they’ve offered no real solution for a family whose son’s health and joy depend on this one piece of equipment.
