## Resource

Wakarusa Drive construction is facing delays as utility relocation issues—unseen in initial plans—push back the closure south of Clinton Parkway from 45 days to an undetermined timeframe. This setback also reschedules two other planned closures for next year, despite being within city limits, since they’re part of the $171M South Lawrence Trafficway project. It’s another bump in Lawrence’s recent construction saga, echoing past surprises like the Jayhawk Watershed and Bob Billings Parkway projects, where hidden infrastructure keeps throwing curveballs.
