## Resource

A 36-year-old man, Steven Snow, faces two counts of child rape in Douglas County, with potential life sentences if convicted. Arrested Thursday, he appeared via video from jail at his first court hearing, where a $1 million bond was set. His public defender noted medical issues and low income—less than $1,000 monthly—leading to appointed counsel. No plea or bond reduction arguments were made yesterday; the next court date is September 16th before Senior Judge Nancy Parrish. This case is poised for intense scrutiny as it moves forward.
