## Resource

Leavenworth, Kansas, is getting a massive immigration detention upgrade—with Congresswoman Gwen Moore witnessing firsthand the construction boom designed to double capacity from 450 to over 1,000 detainees. The federal government spent $238 million to acquire the facility, part of a broader push to expand detention infrastructure under the administration’s enforcement agenda. While critics question the cost per bed, officials defend the investment as essential for national security and operational efficiency, all while CoreCivic continues managing the site under ICE contract. Moore met with local immigrants and voiced concerns about the scale and implications of this expansion. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
