Am 17. Januar fand in Wien die Tagung „Mythos Kopftuch“ statt, von der wir einen gekürzten Mitschnitt bringen. Veranstalter war das Institut für Islamisch-Theologische Studien in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum für Europäischen Islam, Migration und gesellschaftliche Transformation. Ednan Aslan, Professor für Islamische Religionspädagogik, Mouhanad Khorchid, Professor für Islamische Religionspädagogik, die Wiener Lehrerin Susanne Wiesinger und Prof. Susanne Schröter, Ethnologin und Publizistin, befassen sich mit den religiösen Grundlagen des Kopftuchs im Koran und dessen Bedeutung für Schule und Gesellschaft.
