## Resource

In this week's sermon, Pastor James Sabin delivers a rich & deeply personal message built around five unchanging characteristics of God, which are drawn from this year's Vacation Bible school theme — Rainforest Falls — and anchored in the book of Hebrews . Using vivid personal illustrations, the story of David fleeing Saul in the caves of En Gedi, and Psalms 19, 139, and 142; Pastor James challenges the congregation to move beyond a mere theology of God's attributes into a lived, trusting relationship — asking the piercing question: "Is God your refuge, or just your theology of refuge?" Weaving together creation, the fall, sanctification, and the interceding Christ at the right hand of the Father; this sermon paints a breathtaking picture of a God who didn't run away from our brokenness but ran straight into it — entering the darkness, wearing our sin, and rising again so that we could be fully known & fully loved. The message closes with a tender communion call and an invitation to stop buffering your image before the world and bring everything, exactly as you are, to the only One who can truly hold it all.
