## Resource

In week nine of ' The Case for Biblical Literacy' series, Pastor Kevin Cain delivers a message on one of Scripture's most persistent themes — Egypt, Babylon, and Canaan — exposing the three spiritual systems that have always pulled humanity away from the rule & reign of God and toward the kingdoms of this world. Drawing from Exodus, 1 Samuel, Daniel, Deuteronomy, Matthew 6, Revelation 18, and the Sermon on the Mount; Pastor Kevin lays bare the spirits of Egypt (produce, produce, produce), Babylon (consume, consume, consume), and Canaan (lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life) — and challenges every believer to ask themselves the defining question: "When you get squeezed, what comes out — Jesus or the world?" From the Israelites begging Samuel for a king to be like the nations, to Daniel refusing Nebuchadnezzar's table, to the call of Revelation 18 — "Come out of her, my people!" — this sermon makes unmistakably clear that you cannot live in the middle of the world & the Kingdom of God, and that true devotion to the King of Kings requires full surrender, not a foot in both worlds. The message closes with a stirring call to seek first the kingdom of God and trust that everything else will be added unto you.
