## Resource

Jake Briningstool, the Chiefs’ newest tight end, just got a $4,972 fine for an illegal blindside block — the first penalty of the preseason — despite Tampa Bay declining the call. While the max for a first offense is nearly $18,000, he dodged a bigger hit. The Chiefs ended their preseason 0-2-1, losing their final game 16-15 to Tampa Bay. With Andy Reid pushing for discipline after last season’s penalty surge, Briningstool — healthy after a rookie-year injury — now faces this minor setback as he eyes his regular-season debut.
