## Resource

In the aftermath of the Watergate scandal, we put legal and procedural safeguards in place, so a corrupt president couldn't direct his Department of Justice to vindictively or selectively or otherwise unlawfully go after his perceived enemies. Despite this, Donald Trump has told the Department of Justice to revive the reflecting pool case against Olympian David Hearn. Trump has ripped through every safeguard in his determination to hurt people, persecute his critics, and prosecute his perceived foes. Glenn reviews some of the Watergate safeguards that were put in place, and explains how Trump violates them all.
