## Resource

Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police has been fired amid explosive allegations including helping luxury cars get city-registered blue lights, covering up disciplinary actions, and involvement in multiple criminal cases — from corruption and fraud to a $15 million diamond heist and a murder charge. Facing mounting legal battles and accusations of abusing power, the city deemed his removal essential for restoring public trust and ensuring ethical leadership during a critical moment for the department.
