We wisten dat Paul Seixas goed was, maar na Luik-Bastenaken-Luik bestaat er helemaal geen twijfel meer. Het Franse supertalent was de enige die op La Redoute mee kon in het wiel van wereldkampioen Tadej Pogacar. Een nieuw duel voor de komende jaren lijkt geboren. In een nieuwe aflevering van In Het Wiel kijkt Niek Goedvolk met Roxane Knetemann en wielerverslaggever Daniël Dwarswaard terug op het oudste monument van de wielerkalender. Want als Seixas dit nu al kan, wat kunnen we dan in de toekomst nog meer verwachten? En moet hij dit jaar al naar de Tour de France gestuurd worden door zijn ploeg Decathlon?  Bij de vrouwen is er niemand opgewassen tegen Demi Vollering en haar ploeg FDJ-Suez. De Nederlandse is bezig aan misschien wel haar beste jaar met nu al de Omloop, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Waalse Pijl en Luik-Bastenaken-Luik op zak.
