National Convention Diary What This Series Is Welcome to the National Convention Diary, a special series from Hot House with Richie Ray . This isn't a news broadcast, and it's not an official report from the NALC. This is my diary. It's my firsthand account of what I see, hear, learn, and experience throughoutthe National Convention. Every day, I'll sit down behind the microphone and take you with me. I'll talk about the workshops I attended, the conversations I had in the hallways, the speeches that stoodout, the people I met, and the moments that made me stop and think. Most importantly, I'll give you my perspective. These episodes are my opinions, my observations, and my reflections as a letter carrier, Chief Steward, and union officer. I'll tell you what impressed me, what challenged me, what I agreed with, what I questioned, and what I believe matters most to the members back home. If I witness great leadership, I'll talk about it. If I hear an idea that could strengthen our union, I'll share it. If I see something that concerns me, I'll explain why. I'm not here to tell you what to think. I'm here to tell you what I experienced and why it mattered to me. My goal is to make you feel like you're walking beside me through the convention hall. If you couldn't attend, I want these episodes to bring you as close as possible to being there. You'll hear about the energy, the debates, the friendships, the disagreements, the laughter, the long days, and the unforgettable moments that make a National Convention unlike anything else in our union. At the end of each day, this diary becomes a snapshot in time a record of what happened through my eyes.
