In this Friday roundtable, I welcomed Brent Winters, Chris, Bob, Doc, Doug, and Stephanie for a wide-ranging conversation on deception, institutional capture, and the need to think clearly about law, faith, and freedom. We spent a good part of the show unpacking how organizations can be taken over from within, how public narratives are shaped, and why so many people mistake appearances for truth. That led us into a discussion of videos and historical figures Roger had recently been studying, along with broader reflections on religion, hedonism, hypocrisy, and the recurring patterns Brent sees in history. We also dug into the meaning of Sabbath, the relationship between work and rest, prayer and God’s will, and the difference between true discretion and the abuse of power in modern courts and government. Later in the program, callers shared personal stories about law enforcement culture, changing social norms, and spiritual growth, while Stephanie raised a practical concern about water regulation and homeowners’ rights. We closed the week with a reminder that discernment matters, truth has to be lived out, and next week’s conversations will continue building on both the legal and spiritual themes that ran through today’s show.
