Thatā€™s all I have. I just checked the leaderboard and Iā€™m sitting at 39. The cutoff to earn Steem is top 20 so that means I have 19 people to pass in the next 24 hours. Nineteen. It sounds small but on steemhop it feels like climbing a mountain. Iā€™ve been grinding since day 1 and to be this close and still outside the money spots hurts. Every time I refresh the board someone jumps 2 spots and Iā€™m still stuck. The season timer is literally counting down and I can feel it. Iā€™ve been playing nonstop today and itā€™s just pure stress. You start a run, get to 15, 20, feel good, then die to a car you didnā€™t see coming or a train that spawns out of nowhere. My best runs are in the 80s but the people in top 20 are hitting 150, 200, like itā€™s easy. I watch their replays and they have patience I donā€™t have. They wait, they time every hop, they donā€™t panic. Me? I panic at lane 3 and jump straight into a purple car. Iā€™ve probably done 300 runs today alone. Each death feels like Iā€™m wasting time because the clock is ticking. 24 hours sounds like a lot until you realize you need massive scores back to back just to move 1 spot. Whatā€™s killing me is knowing how close I am. 39 to 20. If I can just get a couple of 100+ runs I might break into 30s. If I can chain two of those, maybe 25. But to get to 20 I need to be perfect and I donā€™t know if my hands can do it. My thumb is already sore, my eyes are burning from staring at the desert and the cars, but I canā€™t stop. If I stop now then all these days of grinding mean nothing. No Steem, no reward, just another season where I came close.
