Nehmen wir an, ihr lauft an einem Rosenbusch vorbei und müsst auf einmal an eure Großmutter denken. Dann habt ihr gerade eine Assoziation. Also eine Sache erinnert euch an eine völlig andere, obwohl sie nicht direkt etwas miteinander zu tun haben. Diese Verknüpfung, die habt ihr nur, weil ihr tatsächlich ein Individuum seid, das schon ein Leben gelebt hat. Und das wiederum zeigt, dass wir ganz direkt in unserem Erleben Individualitätserfahrungen machen, ohne darüber reflektieren zu müssen. Das ist die große These, die Lambert Wiesing in seinem neuen Buch "Assoziationen: Das Erlebnis der Individualität" ausbreitet. Lambert Wiesing ist Phänomenologe und da wir hier noch keine Folge zu Phänomenologie gemacht haben, fragt Christian ihn erstmal dazu aus. Danach diskutieren die beiden über Assoziationen und ihre Bedeutung.
