The market closed higher Friday as tech heavyweights rebounded from earlier weakness on bargain hunting. However, turnover was down from its five-day average of 880-billion N-T. Taiwan-born astronaut to appear at Washington Nationals Taiwan day Taiwan-born NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals second Taiwan Heritage Day at Nationals Park on August 29. According to the Millennial Global Youth Foundation, which organizes of the annual Taiwan Heritage Day, Lindgren was chosen for the honor because of his status as an accomplished (技藝高超，有造詣) astronaut who connects Taiwan and the U-S through his multicultural heritage.
