Speaking of fun, Eric celebrates 15 years with “the gf” with dinner at Indochine and a movie while Stacy celebrates her daughter who is twice as old (30). Stacy shares a story about her mother’s “vintage” mattress and the “vintage” dance partners she had while visiting her mother. It reminded Eric of the old Craftmatic adjustable recliner ads with Art Linklater. Thanks to checking off their Cultural Blindspots (and watching the Godfather movies), Eric and Stacy have a better appreciation for the recently deceased Robert Duvall. That reminds Stacy of recently seeing Catherine O”Hara in  Best in Show , a hilarious close look at a VERY specific “sport/hobby.” Eric’s romantic Valentine movie date was to see  Send Help  which was a cross between  Castaway  and  Misery  and a whole lot of fun. Eric also watched the movie  Novocain  with Hollywood nepo-baby Jack Quaid which was also surprisingly good! Cultural Blindspots can also be regional as Stacy shares her love of Goldenbergs Chews and Drake’s Devil Dogs. Stacy and Eric play Kiss, Marry, Avoid (a take on the more common Eff, Marry, Kill game) with random options of “Cougars” or “Zaddies.” Some interesting choices are made and p.s. Eric definitely prefers the older ladies!
