Join co-hosts Alice Cheng, MD, FRCPC, and Michael Rickels, MD, MS, as they discuss the latest and greatest content in the September 2024 issue of Diabetes Care and beyond. 0:30 Alice and Mike begin by highlighting a special section of the September issue of Diabetes Care : the DCCT/EDIC 40 th Anniversary Collection. This collection contains five original articles containing new research from DCCT/EDIC as well as a commentary and review on the history and importance of the DCCT/EDIC. This episode of Diabetes Care "On Air" features several of the researchers who have been involved in DCCT/EDIC as well as some of the individuals living with diabetes who have taken part in the studies. Dr. Klug is the current chair of the DCCT/EDIC Research Group, and Gayle Lorenzi is the chair of the DCCT/EDIC Coordinators Committee and Community Health Project manager. Pamela Curtin and Bill King, as Alice says, "Represent arguably the most important people for this entire project."
