Rebecca Jollotta, of South Shore Hospital's perinatal behavioral health program, cited Clancy's insomnia without tiredness and her adverse reactions to antidepressants, but testified Clancy's symptoms did not fully meet the diagnostic criteria at the time. Clancy has since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Jollotta also testified Clancy scored 23 on the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale in November 2022, and that Clancy never indicated a plan to harm herself or her children. Clancy has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, and contests criminal responsibility. Judge William Sullivan also declined for now to let a former McLean Hospital social worker testify about conditions at the facility, telling the courtroom the trial "is not Tripadvisor."
