I'm sharing the inventory I took of my own life at the end of June, what I decided to cut, and a lesson from my days mixing audio for a live band that shows exactly how subtraction creates clarity. Whatever more means to you, it's waiting. Featured Story For two and a half years, I served as an audio tech at my church, mixing a live band for the worship service. One day nothing sounded right. Given it was a cafeteria, it never sounded amazing, but that day it was bad. The lead tech walked over and said, you need to get some stuff out of there. Subtract some of the audio. He started pulling away parts of the frequencies coming off the stage, and something clicked. Every voice and instrument was fighting for the same space.
