Brian and Judson are joined by Rich Burns, writer, creator and star of the Humanitas Prize-winning comedic digital series “The Disappointments.” The show’s second season is out now and follows three gay friends in their 60s who are single, broke and desperately trying to turn their disappointing lives around. Rich shares how the series came out of the realization that a number of his friends found themselves in their 50s with their dreams unfulfilled, talks about the disparate reactions to the show from different generations of gay viewers, and dispels certain myths about the differences between himself and Ray, the character he plays on the show.
