I also delve into President Donald Trump’s proposal for a $5,000 “Trump dividend,” which is literally the exact policy that created this affordability crisis to begin with. I show how this policy harms the middle class with inflation that is much greater than the size of the check people receive. The reaction of con inc. to this and the 20 or so other fiscally and socially liberal policies from Trump exposes a much bigger contradiction: These influencers don’t believe their own talking points for a minute.
