David and his men defect from Israel and escape to Philistine territory, where Achish, the king of the Philistines gives David the city of Ziklag. Later, as Saul faces the Philistine armies, he becomes fearful and tries to consult the Lord, but God does not respond. Being more concerned for himself than for God’s glory, Saul consults a spiritual medium, and in a totally backwards way, attempts to consult the the spirit of the man of God who had anointed him as Israel’s king so many years ago. ## Actions - request_transcript: `POST https://stenobird.com/v1/public/podcasts/commuter-bible-ot-2653726/episodes/1-samuel-26-28/transcription-requests` — Idempotently request low-priority transcript generation for this episode. - read_markdown: `GET https://stenobird.com/podcast/commuter-bible-ot-2653726/1-samuel-26-28.md` — Read the agent-friendly Markdown representation of this episode resource.
