The Shannon side shocked neighbours Sixmilebridge with a 2-21 to 3-16 victory in Group 4. Elsewhere, in Group 1 Clonlara got off the mark with a four point win over St Joseph's Doora Barefield. The 2023 County Champions came through a stern test registering a 0-22 to 0-18 victory to sit second in the group standings. Manager Donal Madden claims they were under no illusions about how tough a task they'd face.
