A new study led by researchers at University College Cork has produced the first national map showing Ireland’s exposure to coastal hazards including erosion, flooding and rising sea levels. The research identifies significant areas of risk along the coastline and highlights the protective role of natural habitats such as dunes and saltmarshes.
