Gold dropped toward $4,500 before rebounding near $4,650, silver briefly broke down before reclaiming $70, and copper saw a violent correction of its own. In the junior resource space, many stocks fell 30% to 50% in days. Painful, yes. But technically, gold, silver, and copper still look bullish long term. The bigger issue is volatility. Gold volatility remains elevated, oil volatility has surged, and that kind of chaos creates forced selling, margin calls, and panic. The message was simple: know what you own, know why you own it, and do not confuse a violent short-term washout with a broken long-term thesis.
