## Resource

Politicians in Olympia are taking a victory lap, claiming crime across Washington state has plummeted by over 20%. But does that match what you see in your neighborhood every day? In this episode of Left Coast News, we break down the reality behind the latest WASPC Crime in Washington report from a constitutional, law enforcement perspective. We dive into why these official numbers don't tell the whole story—from the "underreporting trap" caused by record-low police staffing (where WA ranks 51st in the nation per capita) to jail booking restrictions, prosecution backlogs, and the revolving-door justice system. #WashingtonState #CrimeStats #LeftCoastNews #LawEnforcement #PublicSafety #WAPolitics #PoliceShortage #ConstitutionalRights #WASPC #BackTheBlue #RevolvingDoor #CrimeInWashington #PoliceStaffing #CriminalJusticeReform #PacificNorthwest #TrueCrimeNews
