I am a passionate, hardworking, driven woman and sometimes I think others are like me. I am learning to lower my expectations on family, friends, and relationships. I believe at this point in my life this is the wise thing to do. You end up hurting yourself because you EXPECT people to treat you how you treat them. You EXPECT them to communicate how you do. At the very least you EXPECT them to put the same amount or more effort into the relationship. This is not reality for most relationships. Relying on God becomes the most important decision you can make in a situation where you are expecting to much from "man" and not tapping into fulfilling the expectations God has for you. Scripture References: Mathew 7:6 ":Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls , then turn and attack" Proverbs 10:28 "The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the EXPECTATIONS of the wicked come to nothing"
