Zwar können weder mein Gast Michael noch ich große Expertise in Sachen hessische Völkerkunde vorweisen, dafür bringen wir aber eine umso größere Begeisterung für das fett budgetierte 90er-Genrekino made in Hollywood mit. Eines der strahlendsten Beispiele hierfür ist Sleepy Hollow – Köpfe werden rollen (1999), der nicht nur Tim Burton und seinen Hauptdarsteller Johnny Depp auf der Höhe ihrer jeweiligen Kunst zeigt, sondern zudem erstaunlich großzügig in der Darstellung handgemachter Blutsuppe ist. Da stört es auch kaum, dass die Lovestory mit Christina Ricci so kalt ist wie der Nebel im Dörfchen Sleepy Hollow. Und wenn Christopher Walken seine scharf geschliffenen Zähne bleckt, macht sich auch der mutigste Dorfbewohner in die Hose.
