At the center of the episode is Paige. Kelly remembers watching the week unfold knowing her daughter was being pushed toward a solo she wasn’t prepared for, without the music she needed, while everyone else kept acting like the moms were just being dramatic. Christi was feeling it too, watching Chloe get handed new choreography while Maddie walked in with two solos and far more preparation. What aired as jealousy was, to them, really a slow-motion disaster they could see coming before the kids ever stepped on stage. Christi and Kelly also revisit the other chaos surrounding the week: Kathy refusing to ride the bus, Vivi getting stuck with the Bumblebee solo, Melissa working the front desk, Abby insisting the girls were ready, and the competition day tension that made everything feel worse.
